VERDICT: Grey Owl is getting the hang of things this season and, on the back of a commendable second-placed finish in a deeper race at Newbury last month, the lightly-raced four-yeart-old is a strong contender off just a 1lb higher mark. Basilette has shown some promise since switching back to turf and is another to seriously consider, with the return to a longer trip a likely source for improvement. Thunder Sparks and Ardara Rose also enter the reckoning with both sporting first-time headgear.
