VERDICT: Beccali, who cost 580,000 euros as a yearling, wasn't given a hard time when his chance had gone on his debut at Leicester in May and can do better now he tackles a firmer surface. However, that form is ordinary at best and a chance is taken on nicely-bred debutant Macedonian, whose pedigree suggests this could be an ideal starting point for the son of Kodiac. Asuka rates the pick of George Boughey's three runners, while Beneath The Sea is another interesting newcomer.
