VERDICT: James Webb (fifth) finished behind Padesha (third) when the pair met at Nottingham in May, but Sir Michael Soute's charge was making his debut that day and it would be no surprise to see that form reversed. However, they could both be up against it with Northern Ruler among their rivals. The son of Kingman shaped with plenty of promise to finish second on his racecourse bow over a mile at Windsor last month, shaping as if this step up in trip could bring out further improvement, so he looks the one to beat.
