VERDICT: Formidable Force was value for further than his first career victory on the turf at Lingfield in June. A 7lb rise in the ratings is unlikely to be the ceiling of the three-year-old's ability and he's fancied to double his tally. Late Arrival didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages when finishing fourth over track and trip in mid-July and he may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of his stablemate Catton Lady.
