VERDICT: Maw Lam (6) has proven most effective over 1000m, never finishing worse than 3rd in 3 starts over this distance. She was 3rd in a 1000m Group II at Ascot before finishing unplaced for the first time when stretching out to 1200m for a Group II at Newmarket last time and returning to this trip in her first appearance on French soil will be more to her liking. She gets the nod ahead of La Samana (5) who also reverts to her preferred distance with first-time headgear fitted. Last-start winner Mollie Foster (8) was impressive over 1200m at Haydock and isn't underestimated over this shorter trip, while supplemented Lady Of Andros (3) is open to any amount of improvement after a winning debut.
