VERDICT: Tropical Storm arrives on the back of a fine second in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Andrew Balding-trained colt is a potential improver upped in distance. However, stable debutant The Strikin Viking makes slightly more appeal having posted a close-up second in the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh in late June and that form rates a touch stronger. The unexposed Aparajeo is also noted after last month's debut victory at Windsor.
