VERDICT: The start of the Winter Country Champ Finals. All appear wide open events and bets like Trifectas and Quartets can pay healthy dividends. Sooty should have every chance of going into the winner's box after running a pleasant race last time and having drawn well. Winter Pearl finished a short head in front of Sooty and is 1.5kg better off so could confirm but he has drawn a bit toward the outside. All About Al has gate No 1 and has the pace to keep going. However, he will need to improve on his last start. Gimmethatpearl and Mighty Mac are a lot better than their recent efforts.
