VERDICT: Ascot Gold Cup hero Kyprios had an epic battle with Stradivarius when he won this in 2022 and has thrived at the top table in this division ever since. While the son of Galileo didn't get the chance to defend his crown here 12 months ago, he can make up for lost time by cementing his authority over some old rivals. Sweet William was six lengths behind the selection in the Gold Cup but has a feasible chance of getting closer over this shorter trip. Coltrane was third in last year's renewal and is another to bear in mind.
