VERDICT: Evelyn's Phoenix appreciated a change of tactics to make every yard of the running at Carlisle earlier in the month and it would be dangerous to dismiss him off a 2lb higher mark. However, the vote goes to Lord Warburton, who produced a huge shock when scoring by over two lengths at Pontefract last month and he followed that up with a fair third over 1m4f here last time. The drop in trip looks like a good move, while Irv is another to keep an eye on.
