VERDICT: An open contest in which the recent Lingfield all-weather scorer Big Bard and class-dropper Vinaka have to be considered. But this looks like a decent opportunity for the veteran Spanish Mane to enhance her excellent course record. Julia Feilden's mare is rated 4lb lower than winning over C&D on unfavoured soft ground a year ago and hinted at a return to form here last month, when doing much the best of those drawn low in a similarly competitive event.
