VERDICT: Having won three of his four starts this year, Townhill showed enough pace when scoring over further at Newton Abbot last time to suggest that he can handle the drop in trip on this occasion. A 4lb rise for that success could prove to be lenient and the six-year-old is preferred to Dr Seb, who makes his handicap debut after scoring comfortably over C&D last month in novice company. The hat-trick-seeking Hillsin is another to note, as well as Kazontherazz and Kitesurfer.
