VERDICT: Whispering Royal might have finished closer to the eventual winner but for being squeezed out in the closing stages when finishing third over C&D. Off an unchanged mark and with cheekpieces applied, he can go two places better. Clan Chieftain doubtless has the ability to play a hand in a race of this nature and he is respected from an attractive mark. Mr Freedom ran out a game winner at Goodwood on his most recent start on the level and must be of interest off 3lb higher.
