VERDICT: The progressive Local Bay put a disappointing effort behind him when scoring at Epsom and has now won three of his last four outings. There looks more to come from Tony Carroll's six-year-old raised only 3lb, and he should get a good tow round with the front-running Jazz Scene in the field. The latter won at Hamilton last month and can go close again if allowed his own way on the lead, while Magical Merlin may find life easier in this lower grade on only his second start over today's distance and makes more appeal than Lady Flora.
