VERDICT: Newfangled is a potential improver on his first try on Tapeta, while similar comments apply to Solo Solataire and Poles Apart, who are closely matched based on their meeting at Kempton earlier this month. However, Soveraine showed improved form when she finished third in a similar race over the extended mile here eight days ago and, with the longer trip a likely source of more improvement, the Charlie Johnston-trained filly shades preference off the same mark.
