VERDICT: Tarbat Ness has been knocking on the door with a brace of runner-up efforts at Ripon and Carlisle in May. The five-year-old makes a considerable amount of appeal, but the vote goes to Easy Equation. His return to turf saw him go close at Pontefract last month and a repeat of that performance may suffice. Kissininthebackrow completes the shortlist with the extra couple of furlongs a potential source of improvement.
