VERDICT: Samui won a Naas bumper on debut last year and scored twice over hurdles including a valuable handicap at the Listowel Festival. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding has switched to the Flat this year winning a 1m2f Down Royal maiden and should appreciate this stamina test. Taipan won twice last year including at this venue but has been absent for over a year since second in a Down Royal Listed race over this trip. Keithen Kennedy's 7lb claim is a big plus and it will be interesting to see how strong the topweight is in the market, a remark that also applies to Mr Adjudicator who has been very lightly raced since winning a 1m4f Premier Handicap at the Galway Festival five years ago.
