VERDICT: Grecian God shaped with more promise than the bare result suggests when finishing third over C&D on his handicap debut in May, enduring a luckless passage before staying on well in the closing stages. Eased 2lb, it would be no surprise if he were able to make his second start in handicap company a winning one. Winner of the aforementioned contest, Crafty Spirit can serve it up to his old adversary once more sporting blinkers for the first time. The step back to 6f looks an interesting move for Scarlet Lady and she completes the shortlist.
