VERDICT: Sergeant was only beaten two and a half lengths over the extended 2m at Taunton when last seen in February last year and he could be in the shake-up after being dropped 5lb by the handicapper, but he may be susceptible to some race-fit rivals such as Chef De Troupe. Tony Forbes' charge was only narrowly touched off over C&D last month and a 2lb rise in the ratings doesn't appear out of his reach. Harry Gulliver fell at the last when challenging over 2m at Southwell on his latest outing and he completes the shortlist.
