VERDICT: Bottom-weight Rain is of interest. A step up to 2m saw her keep on for fifth in a valuable handicap at the Curragh and she looks well worth another crack over this distance. She has been placed four times in Ireland and did win over an extended 1m6f in France. Nostra Casa won over this trip at Thurles last season and that will really stand him in good stead for this test. Longclaw was well behind Rain at the Curragh, but should get to dictate his own fractions off the front in this small-field contest and is respected. Jabbar is markedly up in trip, but does know where the winning post is.
