VERDICT: The wet summer has ensured there has been enough juice underfoot for Bethpage to register a hat-trick of good-ground victories over a variety of trips. The mare's admirable versatility on that score earns her the vote, despite a 9lb rise for the latest of those comfortable successes. Lallygag had the race at his mercy when he ran out at Newton Abbot last time and is noted with first-time cheekpieces added. Uggy Uggy Uggy is also noteworthy returned to a longer trip.
