VERDICT: Having done remarkably well to finish as close as he did when runner-up at Ballinrobe last time, Evans Secret can gain compensation here. Badly hampered by a faller early in the race, the Mark McNiff-trained gelding was keeping on strongly when again suffering interference at the final flight. Granted better luck in running, the five-year-old can register a first career success. Cosmic Blizzard has to be of interest on his return to hurdles. Although a beaten favourite over fences at Clonmel last time, he had earlier gone close when second at Limerick. Sam Curling's five-year-old can race off a 16lb lower mark over flights. Fourth on her handicap debut at Ballinrobe, the lightly raced Mini Getaway has scope for improvement.
