VERDICT: Having shown definite improvement over hurdles of late, Macinamillion is of obvious interest back on the Flat, although he was a beaten favourite when third here on Thursday evening. Trained by Gavin Cromwell, the four-year-old son of Markaz was placed on two occasions on the level last summer. Despite being drawn out in stall 14, the gelding should be capable of a big run. Metamorpheus probably found the two-mile trip stretching his stamina at Listowel last time, so should be favoured by the trip back in distance now. Similar to Macinamillion, the Paul Nolan-trained gelding has shown more over hurdles than on the flat to date. C&D winner No Trouble continues to run well at the age of eight. He, too, should be capable of getting involved.
