VERDICT: Earth Cry was victorious by over four lengths in a class 5 event at Fontwell last month and he looks ready for this step up in grade off a 5lb higher rating. Neil Mulholland's six-year-old has improved with each run so far this year and he can continue on an upward trajectory. The main danger is Marty Mcfly, who went in over 2m here last time and now takes a step back up in distance off 6lb higher, while Malangen is another to watch out for.
