VERDICT: Aljarf (6) is yet to get it right but finally seems to have bumped into the right opposition to shed that maiden tag. He has been running to a consistent level and rates the one to beat. Mahir Du Soleil (5) showed good improvement two starts back and if repeating that effort then he will be a player. Hatim (1) returns off a lengthy layoff but could show big improvement on a rather disappointing debut effort. Angus (4) ran his best race to date last time out and could find a minor spot.
