VERDICT: Farrokh was a winner here over hurdles in May and the Barry Connell-trained gelding has subsequently run well in beginners chases over further. With the five-year-old giving the impression that he is better suited to two miles, he has to be of interest here. Recent Clonmel winner Druim Samhraidh could have more to offer on his first start for trainer Paul Flynn. The veteran won with something in hand that day, so a 6lb rise may not inconvenience him. Limerick winner Crowsatedappletart can still race off a mark which is 4lb below his hurdle rating and should be capable of making his presence felt.
