VERDICT: Alex Belardo is less exposed than most and showed up well in second over a shorter trip at Fairyhouse. He didn't enjoy the clearest route, but it was a promising second foray into handicap company. The veteran Swiss Army Officer has to enter calculations. He held every chance approaching the final furlong in Tipperary before being beaten just under a length into third and remains on the same lowly mark of 49. Manhattan Dandy put in a below-par effort at Gowran Park, but was in the money on his last three visits to this track. Sneddy Eddie and Saffredi will have their supporters, while reserve Fastman would have decent claims if getting in.
