VERDICT: Ger Lyons saddled three winners over Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh and Serious Notions could be another for him. She had some notable placed form during her juvenile campaign and is entitled to come on from her sixth on seasonal reappearance at Gowran Park. Dermot Weld's Blue Poppy was due to run in an Oaks trial at Naas, but was found to be in season. She is highly likely to improve upon unplaced runs at Listowel and Fairyhouse. Kailasa is rated 8lb inferior to Serious Notions, however, she hasn't been beaten overly far in all three appearances to date. She could have fared better with the draw, though. Castanets is a newcomer to monitor in the market.
