VERDICT: Flying Panther justified favouritism with the minimum of fuss in a classified event at Wolverhampton last week, but he was beaten in handicaps prior to that so a penalty doesn't exactly make life easy. Stoic Syd has been sent off favourite on each of his last four appearances, winning the first two, and his latest third at Wolverhampton came after a break so he is fancied to take the necessary step forward. Tees George is edging back towards the winner's enclosure, and Masham Moor is worth a look as well.
