VERDICT: Crystal Guard is the only contender to have won over this distance in the field and although only successful by a head last time out at Ayr, he was always doing enough to hold off his challengers. Upped 1lb by the handicapper, the six-year-old can go well under Mohammed Tabti, who is a very promising apprentice. Twoforthegutter has to shoulder top-weight after rallying to win over a furlong shorter here and is an obvious danger, while Reams Of Love would be favourably handicapped if he can bounce back to his best.
