VERDICT: Mary Of Modena teed herself up for a tilt at this when finishing an excellent second over 5f at Windsor on her reappearance in April and, nudged up 2lb, she gets the vote to go one place better. Recent Doncaster runner-up Brave Nation was doing his best work in the closing stages on that occasion and he should be running on when others have cried enough, while Acklam Express' mark continues to fall and he commands respect too.
