VERDICT: Clatterbridge was seen in a much better light when stepping up in trip on his handicap debut, going in by a neck at Uttoxeter, and he should remain competitive off 3lb higher. However, he could come out second best to Coilrock, who had Fantomas one place behind when filling the runner-up spot over 3m at Ludlow. The seven-year-old remains on the same mark and can confirm that form to go one better. Kapamazov completes the shortlist.
