VERDICT: Rebaatt took an expected step forward for his first foray into handicap company, being beaten just half a length into second at Newmarket. The winner has gone in again since, so a 2lb rise may underestimate the merit of William Haggas' three-year-old's performance. Amancio has been so reliable this year and should run another honest race, although Hutchence might be a bigger threat, with an opening mark of 76 not unduly harsh for the expensive son of Frankel.
