VERDICT: Having filled the runner-up berth at Bath and Yarmouth in recent months, compensation could be headed in Expert Witness' direction. Sir Mark Todd's filly is effectively racing off a 5lb lower mark if taking Ned Sangster's 7lb claim into account and she edges the vote over Anglo Saxson. The seven-year-old arrives in good heart and this longer trip looks worth another go. Finn Russell also enters calculations after a solid third on his return from a break at Windsor recently.
