VERDICT: Alfred Cove and Howzak are taken seriously on the back of improved recent form but this could be an ideal opportunity for Wedgewood to register a first win on turf. The four-year-old posted a respectable effort back on grass at Brighton last month and, with the likelihood of fast ground, the Tony Carroll-trained filly has a strong chance of exploiting a lenient mark in comparison to her all-weather rating. Jacquelina would also be a key player if turned out quickly after Friday's second at Thirsk.
