VERDICT: Miss Gitana went agonisingly close to gaining her first victory over C&D, following on from her handicap bow when fourth over 1m2f at Yarmouth. Sir Mark Prescott's filly is going the right way and a 2lb rise is unlikely to stop her from getting off the mark. Rogue King and Walter Hartright were third and fourth in the aforementioned contest here. However, the latter has every chance of reversing the form with a change of headgear to blinkers, and the former needs to bounce back from his subsequent disappointment at Yarmouth.
