ANALYSIS: Prominent, pushed along 2f out, ridden over 1f out, soon beaten, weakened inside final furlong
VERDICT: This appears to be a match on paper between Union Island and Duran, with the pair both having achieved the same rating of 76, and it is the latter who gets the vote. While the former initially started his career with promise when chasing home a subsequent Listed winner at Hamilton, he never replicated that effort in three subsequent outings. The selection, though, has improved with each run and a reproduction of his second at Nottingham last month is likely to be good enough. Lizzie Lovett and Flying Star can battle it out for third.
