VERDICT: Not beaten far over C&D last time out, American Gerry must hold every chance off a 3lb higher mark with conditions in his favour once again. Hughie Morrison's charge may not be the most consistent, but he should have enough to see off Him Malaya, who makes his debut over fences after some promising efforts of late over timber. Midnight Centurion didn't shape badly on his return from a 413-day break at Ludlow in January and he is entitled to improve from that outing.
