VERDICT: Fairbanks blotted his copybook on his seasonal reappearance when finishing sixth in a Thirsk handicap over 1m4f in April, but he bounced straight back to form with a comfortable victory over the same trip at Newcastle the following month. Preference, though, is for Geremia. Iain Jardine's gelding came from last to first to win going away over 1m4f here last month and, with the potential of more to come upped further in trip, he can defy a 4lb rise. Hope You Can Run and Too Friendly are closely matched on recent form and cannot be overlooked lightly.
