VERDICT: A strong-looking contest in which Socialite and Run Away both have to be considered after making winning starts, particularly the latter who fetched 2,600,000 euros as a yearling. All that said, King's Gamble may have too much if building on his smart juvenile form which saw him land a Newmarket maiden before finishing third in the Gimcrack at York. A step up to 7f should only improve him and this could be a stepping stone towards going up to the highest level at Royal Ascot, with the son of Kingman boasting an entry in the St James's Palace.
