VERDICT: Valgrand displayed a high level of ability in bumpers and he made a seamless transition to hurdling when winning at Uttoxeter earlier this month. Despite the penalty, the five-year-old appears to have been found an ideal opportunity to follow up. Speed Davis must also shoulder a penalty but he is still the main danger, while Touchwoodexpress is most appealing of the remainder.
