VERDICT: Manxman, who rounded off last season with a four-timer, almost picked up where he left off when a narrow runner-up over 1m6f on his seasonal debut here three weeks ago. Stepping back up in trip is an ideal move and the Crisford's consistent gelding and can go one better, with a 1lb higher mark unlikely to cause too many issues. Yorkindness, Maxident and Robert Johnson are other serious contenders for the shortlist.
