VERDICT: Purple Powahouse is costly to follow but he is ultra consistent and is an obvious inclusion in all bets even if having drawn a bit wider. Masterbling caught the eye coming from far back on the turf last time. It was an encouraging performance and he could realise his potential. Stevie Gee impressed over the track and trip in his penultimate and a wide draw put paid to his chances last time. Victor Rail enjoyed 1400m last time running his best race for a while and if not minding the drop in trip and a wide draw could threaten. Mac Hardy has shown potential.
