VERDICT: The market will obviously be a key guide, but marginal preference is for Ancient Truth. Charlie Appleby's colt is out of a mare who was a Group 2-winning juvenile and his full-brother Great Truth was an easy winner on his racecourse debut last season. Patrol cost 165,000 euros as a yearling and has to be noted as a close relation to the high-class Fev Rover. Redorange is bred to be sharp and Clive Cox's 120,000gns purchase should not be underestimated. Bold Impact and Megaphone are others to note.
