VERDICT: Giulietta fared best of those ridden prominently when worn down close home at Ludlow and off just a 2lb higher mark and dropping slightly in trip, she can go one place better. Our Nel shaped with promise when fourth over fences at Taunton and can make her presence felt, particularly if the first-time tongue-tie has the desired effect. Fly Awhile Johnny has shown enough on his last couple of starts to suggest he can be competitive in a race of this nature, and he is respected on his handicap hurdling debut.
