VERDICT: Although there is room for improvement in the jumping department, the hat-trick seeking Golden Maverick is hard to oppose. The Zarak gelding was value for further when completing a double on his handicap debut over hurdles at Musselburgh last month and a 7lb higher mark shouldn't be the ceiling of his ability. Fellow in-form rival Swift Hawk is feared most after his recent close-up second at Taunton, although the four-year-old would make more appeal over further. Got Grey may chase the duo home.
