VERDICT: The hat-trick seeking Sherdil arrives in fine fettle having completed a double in a classified stakes at Newcastle in March. However, the five-year-old returns to handicap company off a mark that proved beyond him at Wolverhampton in December. With that in mind, it may be worth taking a chance on his stablemate Birkenhead. Paul Midgley's gelding, a C&D winner here two years ago, returns to turf on a career-low mark and he looks capable of succeeding at this level. Golden Rainbow is also noted.
