VERDICT: Juan Bermudez wasn't disgraced when finishing sixth in a 14-runner affair at Warwick a fortnight ago and the five-year-old could be worth chancing in an open event. The Nathaniel gelding was a decent stayer on the Flat and this extended 2m4f distance should draw out his stamina. The biggest threat may emerge from Tarras Wood, who needs to dispel a heavy defeat at Wetherby in February, while hurdles debutant Secret Des Dieux cannot be ruled out either.
