VERDICT: Lingfield scorer Inspiritus appreciated the removal of the hood when posting a career-best performance in late March. Roger Varian's gelding warrants respect off a 5lb higher mark and this switch to turf shouldn't prevent another bold bid. However, fellow last-time-out scorer Pearl Eye may prove to be the better handicapped of the pair after winning a shade cosily at Pontefract and the four-year-old could be tough to beat if coping with the quick turnaround. Loyal Touch and Baryshnikov also enter the reckoning.
