VERDICT: In a moderate event it is hard to oppose Ascension Day, who was second in maiden hurdle over C&D a month ago, albeit well held. A reproduction of that form would give him a big chance on his handicap debut here. Mersey Street was not disgraced at Taunton last time and may have more to offer, while similar comments apply to Marrakushi.
