VERDICT: Newyorkstateofmind exploited a drop in the ratings to score at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and can still be a force off just 3lb higher now back on turf, while Beyond Equal is dangerously well handicapped on older form and, with a first-time tongue strap applied, is fancied to be on the premises. However, Strike is back on a winning mark and, with the return to 6f not expected to be an issue, Jonathan Portman's gelding looks the pick of the bunch in this wide-open contest.
